Candidate night was held at the Raynham Channel studio on October 21, 2024. Candidates, Sandra Wright and Dennis Gallagher, participated in a public forum modified by Pat Riley. Candidates had the opportunity to introduce themselves and share some of their achievements. Based on a series of questions, candidates alternated presenting their opinions, perspectives, and goals that they believe would provide resolution and growth to their community.
Supporters stood outside holding signs and waving to local residents driving by in order to advocate for the candidates. This forum was modified by Pat Riley, who was elected to the Raynham Board of Selectmen in 2018 and continues to serve as a board member. Pat served on the Bridgewater-Raynham school committee for twelve years, she is also a member of the Raynham Association of Volunteers for Education (R.A.V.E.), and the host of the award winning show ‘Inside Scoop’.

Sandra Wright is currently a Plymouth County commissioner for fourteen years and continuing. She has served on the Bridgewater Town Council, Board of Health, a Halifax Fire Department EMT, and a survival training instructor at Mass Maritime Academy. One of her top priorities is to lower the cost of inflation and decrease the cost of living. One of her goals is to encourage smart and economic development. She would like to prioritize Veterans, domestic violence survivors, and other vulnerable communities that are currently struggling to find support. She would like to take on challenges such as insurance companies that create financial challenges. She wants to bring back manufacturing, civil education, and teach the youth the skills they need. She has spent her entire adult life fighting for people who can’t fight for themselves and now she would like to take her fight to the state for the needs of the community.
Dennis Gallagher’s public service began when he enlisted in the United States Navy at the age of seventeen. He put himself through graduate and undergraduate school and served his community in many capacities, which include most recently, nine years as a member of the Bridgewater Town Council, eight of which, he was a member of the budget and finance committee. He served in many leadership positions including Vice Chairman as well as President on town council. One of his goals is to continue his track record of results and bring more solutions to the people. He took his time to knock on doors and speak to a multitude of residents in order to gather their insights and listen to their perspectives in regards to transitions and developments that they would like to see. He plans to use his leadership experience to set his objectives and reach his goals based on needs voiced by the community.
